Unraveling the Cosa Nastra

When you say Italy, first thing which comes to your mind is Al Pacino in Godfather. So when I was given a paid vacation to the country by my company, I conjured up this image where people would walk in Armani suits carrying guns. Logged on to Lonely Planet and googled for almost 6 days to find info about the place.

The results were interesting and I was looking forward to the trip

Reached Milan and took a connecting flight to Rome - We were this huge group of 105 people and boy, was the group boisterous!!!!!!!!! One has only read about security in Europe but a first hand experience is well .......... quite unnerving - Take out your purse, belt, shoes, socks, pen, watch, jacket - Hmmm, basically the security only like no frills people -

The Milan - Rome Alitalia flight was eventful - We were served biscuits and ..... - ok and water also - Didnt know Atitalia doubles up as no frills airline - First security and then the flight!!!!

The best is yet to come - We had around 8 air pockets - One of them lasted for around 10 seconds - The adrenalin rush was great - Living on the edge was the song I was humming - Some were screaming, some were grabbing their seats frantically and some were enjoying like me - Guess I'm not the only one with a death wish!!!!!!!!!!

Thats about for today - Tommorow the chronicles of Frisco shall cover Rome in its glory
